WATCH: Solenn Heussaff looks back on pregnancy journey with second child
Solenn Heussaff has given a glimpse of her pregnancy with her second child with her husband Nico Bolzico, and showed her first daughter Tili’s first few moments with the new baby.
The actress looked back at her journey to welcoming her new daughter, from pregnancy to birth, through her YouTube vlog today, Dec. 27. The vlog was filmed when Heussaff was 38 weeks pregnant.
“I’m not so sure what’s going to happen just because I forgot what it’s like to have a newborn but what I did this time is to take the pregnancy in a chill way. Enjoy it, not panic too much, not read too much online,” she said.
Heussaff recalled that she was “all over the place” when she was carrying Tili, especially since she had a high-risk pregnancy and was told she might have to give birth at five months.
“Of course when you’re pregnant for the first time, everything makes you freak out and you Google everything and everything seems to be more negative than it is positive,” she told fans.

This made her prone to blood clotting and Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APAS) when she was expecting Tili. This time around, doctors told her she was only at risk for blood clotting.

“This pregnancy is such a breeze. Injections, I’m just used to it… I have so much energy,” she stated. “I do my workouts. I’m still lifting my daughter. I’m 38 weeks now and she’s 15 kilos and I’m still lifting her.”
Heussaff also felt “lighter” during her recent pregnancy since her eating habits also remained the same with baby number 2. Back then, she was told to eat 3,000 calories and take 15 protein pills a day.
“As [for] this one, I’m literally just eating the way I’ve always eaten. Normal portions, I have carbs here and there, not daily,” she disclosed.
While Heussaff managed to maintain an active lifestyle during her pregnancy, she still stressed the importance of seeking advice from one’s doctor about working out when expecting a baby.
Aside from the preparations she did before welcoming her second child, Heussaff also talked about the ways she made sure Tili would be ready to become an older sister.
“I made sure that with Tili, we bonded a lot. Again, I have no yayas (house helpers) since birth with Tili so we have bonded since her birth,” she said.
Heussaff noted that she and Bolzico always put Tili to bed and spend quality time with her by reading books, going to the park, painting and dancing.
“She’s going to be an ate (older sister), [we are] telling her the changes we’re going to have in the house, trying to get her used to that. It’s going to be quite an emotional ride. I’m so excited to see how she is going to react to seeing her little sister for the first time,” she said.
Before ending her vlog, Heussaff showed glimpses of Tili meeting and carrying her baby sister for the first time.
Bolzico first hinted at their daughter’s birth last Dec. 14. At the time, he noted that his wife was “healthy and happy,” and would be introducing baby “Lionel” later.
Heussaff and Bolzico, who married in 2016, announced last July that they were expecting a second child. The couple welcomed their first daughter Tili on New Year’s Day of 2020. /ra
