Homegrown foundation launches own international pageant
MANILA, Philippines—The Queen of Hearts Foundation has been sending Filipino women to various international competitions in both the Miss and Mrs. categories. Now it will mount its own global pageant for married women and single mothers.
Mitzie Go-Gil, the foundation’s founder and president, said the new pageant will be called the Queen of Hearts International Pageantry, she declared at the Christmas party she hosted for her titleholders and select members of the media at the Dusit D2 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig on Dec. 17.
The international pageant will promote the foundation’s advocacy of championing women empowerment and will carry out charity missions to bring relief to the underprivileged.
“This is the first international pageant owned by the Queen of Hearts Foundation, and we are already open for franchising. As of the moment, 22 countries have confirmed that they will send representatives,” Go-Gil shared.
She said her recent multi-state trip to the United States enabled her to secure the participation of different state representatives. Delegates from Malaysia and Singapore have also been confirmed. Go-Gil will also visit London, England, soon to scout participants from the United Kingdom.
