Karla Estrada to netizen who called Daniel Padilla’s family ‘chaotic’: ‘Wag mandamay ng pamilya’

Karla Estrada came to her son Daniel Padilla’s defense after a netizen described his family as “chaotic” in comparison with fellow actor Donny Pangilinan’s “complete and happy family.”
Estrada addressed a tweet from one @limitless_db, which appears to be a fan account dedicated to Pangilinan and his love team partner Belle Mariano, via Estrada’s Twitter page on Friday, Dec. 16.
“Si DJ (Padilla), cheater. Si Donny, hindi. ‘Yung nanay ni DJ, problematic. ‘Yung nanay ni Donny, hindi. Si DJ, chaotic ‘yung fam. Si Donny, complete and happy family,” the netizen said in a now-deleted tweet. “Gusto niyo talagang mag-compare? Okay.”
(DJ is a cheater while Donny is not. DJ’s mom is problematic while Donny’s mom is not. DJ has a chaotic family while Donny has a complete and happy family. You really want to compare the two of them? Okay.)
But Estrada was not about to take this comment sitting down.
“Huh? Saan galing ang mega judgment na ito? Dito ka ba naninirahan sa pamamayhay ko at akala mo alam mo lahat?” Estrada wrote in response to the netizen’s tweet.
(Huh? Where did this mega judgment come from? Do you live in my house that you think you know everything [about my family]?)
“Mag-hunos dili ka, huy. Maka-problematic at chaotic ito?” she added. “Wag mandamay ng pamilya, panget yun.” (Hey, think thoroughly before you say [we’re problematic and chaotic]. Do not get our families involved. That isn’t nice.)

Estrada also shared a tweet from a fan account for Padilla and his girlfriend, actress Kathryn Bernardo, with Estrada noting that a child’s upbringing matters most in a family — may it be a complete or a broken one.
“Lahat ng family ay broken kapag hindi nagka-kasundo, hindi lamang dahil hiwalay ang magulang. Importante ay [mapalaki] ang mga anak na hindi bastos at mapagkumbaba,” Estrada stated.
(Every family gets broken not just when the parents are separated, but when the members disagree with each other. What’s important is that their children grow up to be respectful and humble people.)

In a separate tweet on Saturday, Dec. 17, Estrada reminded the public to be mindful in blurting out criticisms when they are not fully aware of what other people are going through.

Wag tayong manghusga lalo na at Hindi natin alam ang pinagdaanan ng iba.

Daniel is Estrada’s son with her former partner, actor Rommel Padilla.
