Xian Lim has finally passed the pre-Alpha Delta Test for ice skating after four months of training.

The 33-year-old actor revealed his new achievement while showing himself training in the skating rink, via his Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 15.

“So I’ve been training to skate for around 4 months now. At first, I thought it was impossible for me to learn a new skill this late. Also for a lot of reasons — mentally [and] physically and what will others say about me,” he said.

Lim admitted his training was not easy and he fell “a lot” while learning the new skill. He also noted that he always felt nervous when taking tests.

“But with enough perseverance and the people who believed in me, I kept going. Today, I took my pre Alpha-Delta test. I passed. Congratulations, self,” he added.

“Skating on ice is pure bliss. Watching other skaters with years of experience, the initial reaction is…wow, this is impossible for me to learn. But to want something you never had, you have to do something you’ve never done,” Lim told fans.

Fellow celebrities who congratulated Lim on his new achievement were actresses Bela Padilla and Rita Avila, as well as Olympic figure skater Michael Martinez.

Lim showed off his skating skills back in August, when he skated to the beat of the song “Brother Louie” with his coach Ronan Capili. The actor took up the skill to prepare for the upcoming GMA Network series “Hearts on Ice,” in which he will star alongside Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega.  /ra
