Nadine Lustre says resurfaced video not about Deanna Wong’s alleged snubbing incident
MANILA, Philippines – Actress Nadine Lustre addressed the resurfaced video of her 2021 interview which was taken out of context, stressing that it was not about the alleged snubbing incident involving volleyball star Deanna Wong and her teammates in Boracay.
Nadine made the clarification through her Twitter page on Saturday, after a fan account apparently re-uploaded a clip from her.interview with actor Edward Barber for MYX Global without providing context.
The said clip, which the fan account appeared to have taken down, highlighted Nadine talking about how celebrities are not obliged to “please everyone” but to “give entertainment.”
She said this after narrating an encounter with an individual who called her “suplada” because the actress did not acknowledge her presence.
“I’m so mind blown with how this interview was so blown out of proportion, then again I’m not surprised,” she tweeted.

“I hope [you all] watch this video so you see the whole picture. This interview was last year and is NOT a response or comment to Deanna Wong,” she stated.

Nadine was dismayed at those who make content “without knowing the full context first,” as she noted that she “doesn’t really care about all the bashing” she gets.

Wong and her Choco Mucho Flying Titans teammates earlier made headlines after the athletes seemingly opted not to interact with fans during a recent trip to Boracay.
The team’s management defended their players and said that they still accommodated the fans during their vacation, but it was “not included in the viral clip.”
