Every day is now a “no bones day” as Noodle, the 14-year-old pug famous for his “bones or no bones” predictions on TikTok, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2 (Manila time).
His owner, Jonathan Graziano, broke the unfortunate news in a video posted on his TikTok account Saturday, Dec. 3.
“It’s incredibly difficult. It’s a day that I always knew was coming but never thought would arrive,” he said.
@jongrazIt has been the privilege of my life to care for Noodle these past 7 years. The sweetest man there has ever been and will ever be. ❤️♬ original sound – Jonathan
Graziano adopted Noodle when the pug was just seven years old. The duo rose to TikTok fame in 2021 after Graziano posted a series of adorable videos where he would prop Noodle up to see if he could stand on his own.
If he plopped right back into bed, then it would be a “no bones” day, which netizens interpret as a day for rest and self-care.
But if he continued to stand in his feet, then it would be a “bones day,” signaling that there would be a good, high-energy day ahead for the viewers.
Despite the pug’s heartbreaking death, Graziano urged Noodle’s fans to “celebrate [Noodle] while we’re navigating this sadness.”
“What a run. Thank you for loving him. Thank you for embracing us,” he said.
Noodle and his “fur-parent” have over 4.5 million followers on TikTok as of this writing.
In June 2022, Graziano published a picture book titled “Noodle and the No Bones Day,” which shows the dog and his owner going through the ups and downs of life.
