SB19 and Ben&Ben led the winners in the 2022 Awit Awards, taking home the highest number of trophies from the awards night yesterday, Nov. 23.
SB19 earned seven awards including Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist and Most Streamed Song for “Mapa.” They were also named Most Streamed Artist.
Ben&Ben won five awards including Album of the Year for their 2021 release “Pebble House, Vol. 1: Kuwaderno.” They dedicated their victory to their fans, called Liwanag, via Facebook today, Nov. 24.
“Para sa inyo ‘to Liwanag! Nanalo tayo ng 5 Awit Awards kagabi! Album of the year ang ‘Pebble House,'” it stated. “We’ll keep making music for you. Congrats sa atin!”

Winners of other top honors at Awit Awards were Leanne & Naara’s “Anticipation” for Record of the Year and Zack Tabudlo’s “Binibini” for Song of the Year.
Artists who received more than one award include KZ Tandingan with three, as well as Leanne & Naara, Noel Mendez, Zild and Belle Mariano, with two trophies each.
The 2022 Awit Awards was held yesterday at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City. It was also streamed live via MYX Global’s YouTube channel.
