Pia Wurtzbach to start training anew for London Marathon in 2023
A week after successfully completing her first ever marathon in New York City, Pia Wurtzbach will be taking on her “next phase of training” as she is set to join the London Marathon in April 2023.
The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder looked back on her running journey which made her “rediscover” life, through her Instagram page on Sunday, Nov. 13.
Wurtzbach also showed moments from when she started training for the NYC marathon to the day of the race, hoping to inspire fans to do something they have always wanted to do.
“Discovering the world of running has opened my eyes to a new [and] bigger world where I met new people and it felt so good to be exposed to that,” she said. “You need that: to expand your world cos you can’t get stuck in your own bubble and comfort zone.”
“I rediscovered a life that is much more than the four corners of a studio, the title you win from a pageant, or the number of likes on a post,” she added. “Outside, real life is waiting for you and you just need to step out and take the first step.”
