LOOK: Barbie Forteza breaks ground for her dream home
Together with her family, Barbie Forteza officially broke ground for her and her family’s dream home, which she said she planned during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The “Maria Clara at Ibarra” actress showed herself and her family at the groundbreaking ceremony via her Instagram page yesterday, Nov. 11.
“If there’s one thing the pandemic has taught me, it’s to plan ahead and think long term. Now, I am about to build my dream home for me and my family,” she told fans.
“Dear self, I am so proud of you. Keep doing what you’re doing and don’t forget to have fun while you’re at it,” Forteza added.

Fellow celebrities congratulated Forteza on her new home, including her “Maria Clara at Ibarra” co-stars Julie Anne San Jose and Andrea Torres, as well as Manilyn Reynes and Forteza’s boyfriend, actor Jak Roberto.
“Ayan [na] congrats, mare (That’s it, congratulations, friend),” San Jose told Forteza.
“Yay! Congrats Binibining Klay (Miss Klay),” Torres said, referring to Forteza’s character in “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”
“Congratulations mahal ko,” Roberto greeted Forteza, to which she replied, “Maraming salamat, mahal ko (Thank you very much, my love)! I love you.”
“Maria Clara at Ibarra,” which aired its pilot episode last month, is a fantasy drama series based on National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal’s works “Noli Me Tangere” and “El Filibusterismo.” It follows nursing student Klay (Forteza) who gets transported into Rizal’s works after reading “Noli Me Tangere.” /ra
