Daryl Ong honored and expressed love for his late mother as he opened up on the heartbreak he feels over her death.
The singer-songwriter revealed his mother’s passing while showing throwback photos with her on his Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 31.
“I never thought na mawawalan ako ng nanay ng ganito kaaga sa buhay (I never thought I would lose my mother this early in my life). My life will NEVER be the same without you,” he addressed his mom. “I will miss you terribly, until I see you again one day, in heaven. No more pain Mami. I love you so much.”
Ong also talked about his loss in a Facebook post today, Nov. 1.
“Ganito pala ang pakiramdam mawalan ng ina. Walang salita ang makapagpapaliwanag ng sakit. Ang tanging iisipin ko [na lang] ay at least wala ka ng dadanasing paghihirap at karamdaman Ma. Mahal na mahal kita Mami.”
(Now I know that this is what it feels like to lose a mother. No words can explain the pain. All I can think about is at least you will no longer experience suffering and pain, Ma. I love you very much.)
Fellow singers who extended their condolences to Ong include Kris Lawrence, Mark Bautista, Erik Santos and Kyla.
“Mahigpit na yakap (Tight hug) bro Da… sending love and [condolences],” Lawrence told Ong.
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences kapatid (brother),” Kyla said.
