Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s upcoming movie “An Inconvenient Love” has released its official teaser trailer, which shows the pair’s meet-cute.
The teaser, released on Star Cinema’s YouTube channel yesterday, Oct. 21, features Ayef (Mariano) listening to music in her daily commute when she crosses paths with Manny (Pangilinan), who takes one of her earphones to apparently listen with her.
“Hassle ng buhay ‘no? Gigising ka nang sobrang aga, pero uuwi ka nang sobrang gabi. Ang daming abala para maging masaya,” Mariano can be heard saying. “Sa hassle ng buhay mo, magpapa-hassle ka pa ba sa pag-ibig? Pero paano kung isang araw, sa dami ng hassle sa buhay mo, may darating para padaliin lahat ng ‘to?”
(Life is such a hassle, no? You wake up very early, but you come home very late. There are too many distractions toward becoming happy. With the hassle of your life, are you going to bother with love? But what if one day, with the amount of hassle in your life, someone comes to make everything easier?)
“An Inconvenient Love” follows the story of Ayef who is focused on her dream and has no time for love until she meets Manny who is up for anything including contractual flings.
“An Inconvenient Love” marks the second movie headlined by Pangilinan and Mariano. The film, directed by Petersen Vargas, is Star Cinema’s comeback in cinemas. It is set to premiere on Nov. 23.
Mariano and Pangilinan, known as the love team DonBelle, made their first movie team-up in the 2021 romantic drama “Love Is Color Blind.” They also starred in the digital series “He’s into Her,” which premiered in May 2021 and ran for two seasons until last August. /ra
