What if there are four Filipina superheroine Darna?

Power Pop band My Ex-Girlfriend’s newest music video showed just that as they blasted off their Darna multiverse-themed extended play (EP) “Paano Kung…! Ito ang OST ng Darna,” released by ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc./One Music.

At exactly 7 p.m. Wednesday, the homegrown musical group dropped the music video on social media for the carrier single “Darna,” presenting four alternate universes for the Filipina superheroine.

In the music video, Darna was portrayed as a young girl (Mishka Levine Garchitorena – daughter of the band’s vocalist Box Garchitorena); a working woman (Justine Johnica Ramirez); a frontwoman (Trish Reyes from band Aesteria); and a couturier (Raymond “Momon” Agagad Cruz, who made the Darna costumes in the music video).

The music video showcased the ordinary strengths and abilities of ordinary people that turn into extraordinary powers during hard times and appropriate times.

After its premiere on the band’s Facebook page on October 12, the Darna music video will then take off on Youtube on Friday, October 14.

“Darna” features synths from Join the Club’s guitarist Migs Mendoza, who also joined the entire set of My Ex-Girlfriend during the EP and music video launching held at Skinny Mike’s BGC on October 7, where Join the Club, Talata, and Monolog likewise performed.

The three-song EP released last August 27 includes “Darna,” “Sa Paggunaw Ng Mundo,” and “Lilipad Muli” which was first released in 2019.

“Paano Kung…! Ito ang OST ng Darna” is now ready to stream on your favorite music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube Music. EDV
