Donny Pangilinan as well as his siblings, vlogger Hannah and Ella, achieved another milestone as they are now degree holders after graduating from college all together.
The actor looked back on their college journey while also giving a glimpse of the “joint graduation ceremony” they had, via his Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 9.
“For those who don’t know, when the pandemic hit over [two] years ago, Ella, Hannah, and myself decided to complete our degrees together (with mine specifying in Leadership),” he said. “And today, despite the busy schedules, many sleepless nights (and fights), we were able to have a joint graduation ceremony thanks to the visit of our professor, who is here in Manila for a couple of days.”
Donny then expressed gratitude to the faculty as well as the school director of College for Global Deployment in Washington State, U.S., for making their intimate graduation ceremony possible.
“Thanks to mom and dad as well who kept telling me everyday to do my modules and papers. Love you both!” he added, addressing his parents, actress Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan.
Donny, Hannah and Ella were also congratulated and cheered on by Laxa and Anthony, with Laxa giving credits to those who served as her children’s inspiration to finish their studies.
“With new beginnings are also ‘closures.’ In fact [three] of them as Ella, Donny and Hannah officially graduated from their respective college courses in simple ceremonies in the presence of the Washington State-based School Director of the College for Global Deployment, Dr. Cyndi Romine who is here on a four-day country visit,” Laxa stated.
“While they finished their courses separately, we were able to schedule the official conferment of bachelors degrees this weekend,” she said. “So yes, nakapagpatapos din kami sa wakas (we finally [have college graduates])!”
Anthony, for his part, spoke about how Laxa turned emotional and shed tears of “deepest joy” over their children’s achievement.
“To have completed their respective courses while going about their responsibilities… The price for the prize! Congratulations guys!” he told his children.

Aside from Donny, Hannah and Ella, Laxa and Anthony share two more children, namely Benjamin and Solana.
Meanwhile, Donny recently gave an update on the construction of his “Casa Donato,” the actor’s new house which is nearing completion. EDV
