Valeen Montenegro misses Spartan Race after testing positive for COVID-19
Valeen Montenegro had no choice but to skip the recently held Spartan Race she signed up for after she contracted the novel coronavirus.
The actress-comedian gave a glimpse of the intense training she underwent for the race, through a video compilation on her Instagram page last Saturday, Sept. 24.
“Excited pa naman [ako] mag-caption ng SPARTANG INA (I was excited to use the caption ‘Spartang Ina’),” she quipped, which is a play on her and fellow comedian Chariz Solomon’s hit segment “Balitang Ina” in GMA’s comedy TV show “Bubble Gang.”
“Been training for Spartan Beast (21k with 32 obstacles) but covid happened,” Montenegro added.
Although she was not able to participate in the competition, Montenegro still expressed joy and stated that she will be looking forward to joining the next race.
