Iya Villania looked back on her birthing journey with Astro, her fourth child with husband, fellow TV host Drew Arellano, a week after they welcomed the baby boy.
The actress-TV host showed moments from when they were waiting for the baby to come out, via Villania’s Instagram page yesterday, June 11. Villania gave birth to Astro last June 4, noting that the labor she had gone through was her “longest” one so far. Villania can be seen struggling to push the baby out while the medical staff surrounded her.
“Hard to believe this is where I was last week. The challenges of the 4th trimester are tough but the contentment of my heart is more than enough to get me thru and I couldn’t be happier to be where I am now,” she said. “Home with a healthy baby boy and his silly siblings who love him so much already.”
Villania then spoke about her faith and stressed that God helped her power through her whole experience.
“God has been so faithful!” she added. “Astro’s birthday is special because it will always remind me of the time my willpower only got me so far and then God took me all the way!”
Prior to giving birth, Villania disclosed that it was her first time to still be working while 37 weeks into pregnancy. She also admitted being anxious about how her “labor and delivery will unfold” for her fourth time.
Aside from Astro, Villania and Arellano share three more kids, namely Primo, their eldest child who they welcomed in 2016; Leon in 2018; and their only daughter so far, Alana, born in 2020. JB
