“Doctor Strange” actress Zara Phythian and her husband have been found guilty of multiple sexual offenses against children.

Phythian was found guilty of 14 sexual offenses at the Nottingham Crown Court in England, as per court documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly last Wednesday, May 11. Phythian’s martial arts instructor husband, Victor Marke, was found guilty of 18 counts of sexual abuse.

The counts for Phytian are all in connection with offenses they did against a girl who was 13 years old. The offenses all date between December 2005 and December 2008.

Marke was individually named for indecent assault of a 15-year-old girl, related to actions that happened as early as September 2002.

The now-adult victims reported the abuse to police years after it happened, as reported by BBC last Thursday, May 12.

Marke claimed that the sexual activity only happened once and Phythian was not involved. When he gave his evidence, he also said that one of the victims was 18 at the time. Phythian denied any sexual activity with the victim.

Phythian and Marke had been on bail throughout their trial, though Judge Mark Watson have remanded them into custody since the guilty verdicts. The couple will be sentenced on Monday, May 16.

“Both of you know the sentence I pass on [May 16] is likely to be measured by a considerable period of custody,” Watson was quoted as saying.

Phythian had a minor role in “Doctor Strange,” which starred actor Benedict Cumberbatch. She played Brunette Zealot in the 2016 film. Dana Cruz /ra
