Celebs can’t believe Pacquiao lost

We are still in a state of disbelief after Manny Pacquiao lost his WBO welterweight title to Timothy Bradley, because we all know that the victory is rightfully his.
But Manny is such a gracious loser, which makes him a winner all the more. The truth is more important than all the boxing statistics. Bradley’s undeserved win doesn’t make Manny any less of a hero. Perhaps this is just God’s way of strengthening Manny’s newfound faith as he rolls with the punches.
We asked celebs how they felt about the judges’ controversial decision:
RICHARD GOMEZ: “The one thing I don’t like about sports like boxing, whose results are determined by a panel of judges, is that anyone can cast doubt on the decision. It can be rigged, it can be questioned, unless a fighter knocks out his opponent. I know Manny can do better if he’s more focused on his game. I want to see him knock out his opponent in his next fight. He is still our hero.”
DEREK RAMSAY: “As far as I’m concerned, Manny won the fight. Results like the Pacman/Bradley bout are part of the reason that boxing is a dying sport. Knock his ass out in the next fight, Manny!”
PAOLO CONTIS: “I believe Manny did great and he was in perfect condition. I believe he was robbed and the stats show it, too. What’s important is that no one believes he lost and our support will always be with him. I’m sure he’s going to knock Bradley out next time.”
JOEY Marquez
PHILIP SALVADOR: “In my eyes and heart, Manny won the fight. Manny, just stick to your faith. Mahal ka ng Diyos at ng sambayanang Pilipino.”
EDU MANZANO: “If there’s one good lesson from the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, it is this: Even the most insurmountable odds can be overcome through hard work, mental focus, dedication and passionate commitment. Indeed, what greater impossibility is there than to beat the world’s greatest boxing champion? My advise to Manny is this: Hold your head high, brother. You are still the People’s Champion and the pride of Filipinos. We’ll be cheering for you as always when you win the rematch.”
BARON GEISLER: “Since Manny is the defending champion, I’m not convinced that he really lost. Kung draw pwede pa. Manny, go for the kill next time and don’t relax. In everybody’s eyes, he won and he is still the classiest and best boxer in the world.”
JOEY MARQUEZ: “The boxing world is a big mafia business. But who will admit it? Manny should just go with the flow intelligently.”
KIM ATIENZA: “Bradley may have been fit and prepared for the fight, but it was clear Manny won the match. I was in shock when they announced the decision. What really got my goat were the two HBO commentators who were openly pro-Bradley from Round 1. It felt like a setup. I am so looking forward to a Bradley knockout in the rematch this November. I’d like to hear what these two HBO commentators have to say about their boy Bradley hitting the canvas. I’m still mad.”
BENJIE Paras
BENJIE PARAS: “It was a bad decision from the judges. Manny should have won the fight. Now that he’s living the Word of God, he should stick with it and not let go. The outcome of the fight is just a test from God.”
