Michelle Dee won big at the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 preliminary competition after she took home six special awards yesterday, April 27.
The beauty queen, representing Makati in the national pageant, was among the 32 candidates who took the stage for the pageant’s first live presentation for its preliminary competition. For the first two Miss Universe Philippines pageants held since 2020, preliminaries were held under strict COVID-19 restrictions.
Dee emerged as a sponsor favorite and took home six brand awards: Miss Kumuniverse, Miss Creamsilk, Face of Essentials Belo, Miss Jojo Bragais, Miss Savepoint and Miss The Medical City, as seen on Miss Universe Philippines’ Instagram page, also yesterday.
Meanwhile, Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol, Katrina Llegado of Taguig and Celeste Cortesi of Pasay won two special awards each.

- Miss Philippine Airlines: Katrina Llegado (Taguig)
- Miss Jojo Bragais: Michelle Dee (Makati)
- Miss MG Cars: Pauline Amelinckx (Bohol)
- Miss Smilee: Gillian Katherine De Mesa (Nueva Vizcaya)
- Miss Savepoint: Michelle Dee (Makati)
- Miss CAD: Katrina Llegado (Taguig)

The Miss Universe Philippines coronation night will be held this coming Saturday, April 30, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Pia Wurtzbach, who won the Miss Universe crown in 2015, will be hosting the program with fellow titleholders Iris Mittenaere of France and Demi-Leigh Tebow of South Africa. /ra
