Red film returns to Edinburgh

Filipino filmmaker Raymond Red’s “Ang Magpakailanman (The Eternity)” is included in the Philippine program of the 65th Edinburgh International Film Festival, to be held in Scotland from June 20 to July 1. Red said the Edinburgh screening is a great way to celebrate the short’s 30th anniversary—particularly since it also marks the film’s return to the same festival. “Shot on super 8mm from 1982 to 1983, it was the only short not included in my retrospective at the Edinburgh fest in 1986. Now it will be presented as part of the section on three decades of Filipino shorts.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
