Kris Aquino suffers from gastritis, ulcer; thanks Angel Locsin for being ‘stage mother’ to her, Josh

Kris Aquino disclosed that she’s diagnosed with erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer, while expressing her gratitude to actress Angel Locsin for being a “stage mother” to her and Josh during her medical tests.
Aquino showed a compilation of photos and videos of herself taking tests in a hospital while giving an account of the findings on her condition, via her Instagram page yesterday, March 13.
After undergoing positron emission tomography (PET) scan, computerized tomography (CT) scan and upper endoscopy, the Queen of All Media shared that there were no tumors detected, but she was diagnosed with erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer. Aquino also had bone marrow aspiration which was done to rule out a blood-related disorder.
Aside from these, Aquino also had her electrocardiogram (ECG) and 2D echo tests, which according to her doctor showed her heart “in good shape and healthy working order.” She also took her second Xolair injection, almost two weeks after her first dose.
Aquino talked about the discomfort on her lower spine after losing a lot of weight. She weighs 38.5 kilograms (85 pounds), as per her recent update.
“I won’t lie to you, there’s this parang nabugbog ng bongga feeling in my lower spine BUT apart from my medicinal limitations, halos wala na kasi akong fat to help ‘CUSHION’ my bones… kaya [exaggerated] ang sakit, skin then diretso sa buto. Process [and] hit or miss para makahanap ng okay na pwesto ‘pag hihiga at kung uupo,” she said.
(I won’t lie to you, there’s this pain in my lower spine but apart from my medicinal limitations, I almost have no fat to help cushion my bone. That’s why the pain is exaggerated. It goes to my skin, then the bones. It’s hit or miss when finding the right sitting and lying down positions.)
She then stressed how she’s still grateful to God despite her condition, noting that her “current pain is temporary.”
“Malalagpasan rin kaya bawal umangal, marami ang mas malala ang pinagdadaanan, at may hinihintay pang mga resulta kaya manahimik, magpasalamat, at patuloy na magdasal,” she stated.
([I’ll] get through this so I should not complain. There are a lot of people who experience worse situations and I’m still waiting for results, so I should be quiet, be thankful and continuously pray.)
Aquino then thanked her fans and friends for being with her throughout her medical journey. She also thanked Locsin and one Anne Binay Alcantara who were with her and her sons, Josh and Bimb, in the hospital.
“Thank you to my friends, the lovable feeling both ‘stage mother’ and main character in Grey’s Anatomy to both kuya Josh [and] me, Angel (Locsin) Arce, and the feeling doktora (doctor) even though mommy niya (her mom) is the real MD, who was scolding me for not pressing the pain reliever auto release button kasi ayokong maging (because I don’t want to be) dependent, ‘hindi ito test ng tapang (It’s not a test of courage),’ Anne Binay Alcantara,” she said.
