Gabbi Garcia disclosed that she once applied to be a housemate in “Pinoy Big Brother,” recounting her audition for the reality TV show 10 years ago and not getting in.
Garcia talked about lining up for the audition in 2012 while sharing a throwback photo posted by her mom, Tes, as seen on Garcia’s Instagram Stories yesterday, March 1. The actress, presumably in her early teens in the photo, wore a plaid shirt and held up a number card.
“Yup, your girl auditioned and lined up for PBB 10 years ago. I didn’t make it,” she said. “It’s true, everything happens for a reason.”
Tes recounted how Garcia spent hours in line, from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. the next day, as per her Instagram page last Sunday, Feb. 27. Tes then expressed her gratitude to Sparkle GMA Artist Center which is the talent agency that handles Garcia now.
“So happy and proud that [Gabbi Garcia] is with [Sparkle GMA Artist Center] since 2014. One of her many blessings,” Tes said. “Proud to be Kapuso.”
Garcia started her acting career with her first teleserye role in GMA’s “My Destiny” in 2014. She also appeared as Sang’gre Alena in the 2016 remake of the hit fantasy drama series “Encantadia.” Garcia is set to star in the series “Love You Stranger” with her real life boyfriend, Khalil Ramos. JB
