Nothing has changed, really,” said actress Beauty Gonzalez, when Inquirer Entertainment asked how she was adjusting to her new work environment.

Beauty recently transferred from ABS-CBN to rival network GMA 7. “We’re still in the business of making shows, regardless of whether we’re Kapamilya (what ABS-CBN talents call themselves) or Kapuso (GMA 7 talents). Yes, it’s a new place, but work is basically the same. I’m just lucky to be given this opportunity to work with a different set of people.”

Beauty observed: “The career path I have here is quite different compared to the one I was given in my previous home. There’s no other way to express how I feel, except that I’m currently on cloud nine. With all the projects I’ve been given, I would sometimes ask myself, ‘Is this for real?’ To be honest, I feel like I’m floating!”

Beauty, however, said that since her transfer, she has been feeling great pressure on her shoulders. She explained: “The fact that I came from a big show (‘Kadenang Ginto’) in my old network is no joke. I had to prove myself here. I honestly didn’t expect a warm welcome. When I arrived, everyone was so nice to me; and all the projects that were assigned to me were good.”

Beauty further said: “All I ever wanted was to entertain people. I promise to keep on giving my very best. I know that not a lot of actors are given this opportunity—and I’m not getting any younger. I’m grateful for my latest show (‘I Can See You AlterNate’). It’s one of my dreams to work with him (Dingdong Dantes, her leading man). I’m shocked that I was picked for this project. I promise that it’s going to be a different Beauty that they will see,” she declared. INQ
