MANILA, Philippines — The stars of the hit Korean drama “Crash Landing On You” Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin on Thursday announced that they are getting married.
The couple revealed the big news in separate posts on Instagram.
”I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one, I found someone to spend the rest of my life with,” said Ye-Jin in a post on her Instagram account.
“Yes… it’s him.☺️,” she added.
The actress called it a “destiny” recalling how the whole relationship “happened so naturally.”
Meanwhile, Hyun, through his agency VAST Entertainment’s Instagram account, also confirmed the engagement in a statement on Instagram.
“I made an important decision to get married, and I’m going to carefully step into the second phase of my life,” Hyun said in a post written in Korean.
The couple first confirmed their relationship on Jan. 1 last year, following reports that the two are dating.
“Crash Landing On You,” which aired from December 2019 until February 2020 through Netflix globally, was one of the streaming platform’s all-time biggest hits.
It tells the story of a billionaire heiress Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) who accidentally paraglides into North Korea and eventually falls in love with North Korean army captain Ri Jeong Hyeok (Hyun Bin).
The two also worked together in a movie called “Negotiation” in 2018.
