They’re not just beauty and brawn: Haley Dizon, Kimson Tan, Anjo Pertierra and Prince Clemente

To see the different side of four young actors, when we peel away the glamor and glitz of showbiz attached to them, is quite a surprising revelation to me. A young actress, Haley Dizon, Kimson Tan, Anjo Pertierra and Prince Clemente show us they are not just beauty and brawn. In my interview with them for the newest ‘Regal Studio Presents’ episode entitled: “Gayuma Girl” this Sunday at 4:35 p.m. at GMA Network, they are able to express freely and honestly their core values, principles in life and their belief systems that makes up their personality. I am quite amazed at their deep and profound thoughts even though they are still quite young. Get to know them as you have never known them in their answers below to my questions.
Pretend you believe in potions. Would you get one to give to yourself? For what purpose? Or will you get one for your enemy?
Haley Dizon: I will give the potion to myself so that I will be the happiest person on earth. That would be the effect of the potion. First of all, I would like to know how it feels to be the happiest person. Of course, when we have happy times, we think we are. But I am curious if that will be the peak of my experience of happiness. But after that, I will always be thankful for what I have: my family, the people who support me, my friends. I know they will always be there for me, to cheer me up, to support me. I will not give a potion to my enemy because I do not waste my time on people who do not give me positive vibes.
Kimson Tan: I will give the potion to myself so that I will always have peace of mind, too, as Anjo had said. I think everyone agrees that you should always prioritize your peace of mind more than anything else in this world. When you have peace of mind, you can do anything you want without being distracted by other matters. As the saying goes, always protect your peace of mind. When you have peace of mind, it will carry you through anything. I will not give it to my enemy even if he started the bad blood. I do not believe in doing bad also to those who did me wrong. Sometimes it is better to walk away or to be silent. You don’t have to resort to revenge because that would just be going down to their level. Just pray for them because at the end of the day, our life is just a loan. We do not know when we will leave this world. Just live a good life. Just live a peaceful life. Live a life that’s full of goals and happiness.
Anjo Pertierra: I will give the potion to myself so that I will forever have peace of mind, clarity day by day. Imagine having a life without stress, without sadness, without the hindrance of any kind, without negativity. I will be able to radiate only positive energy and happiness. I will not give it to my enemy because I do not wish to have bad blood with anyone.
When you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror as you are getting ready for the day, are you confused and wonder if you are still having a bad dream? And do you pray to God to please have mercy on you? Or, do you wake up and can’t quite believe to see the beautiful or handsome image joyfully staring back at you in the mirror, and you thank God endlessly he has been good to you? Which one is it for you?
Haley Dizon: When I wake up in the morning and see my reflection… of course, not every day I think I am pretty. But I always thank God for giving me the life that I have because not everyone can reach this age, especially now with this pandemic happening. With all that’s happening around us, I am always thankful that I am given another day whether I feel pretty or not because it means I have another day to spend with my family and my loved ones. There will never be a day I will not be grateful as long as I am alive.
Kimson Tan: For me, every day when you wake up is another gift of life. It’s another day for you to improve yourself. It’s another day for you to become a better person. It’s another day for you to right the wrong you have done by yourself, or to other people you may have wronged. I believe we are all created in the image of God. And so, based on your question, whatever you do to other people, that is the reflection of God in you that will be reflected in the image you see in the mirror. So whatever you do to other people, good or bad, it will always reflect on God because we are all created in the image of God. And we all know that because that’s in the Bible, right? So, every single day, you just have to improve on yourself. So, as I have said, whatever [bad] other people are doing to you, if they’re pulling you down or whatever [bad] they are saying about you, you just have to live your life… They are not important at all. What is important is that you grow. What is important is that you live every single day without stepping on other people. You live every single day knowing that when you are getting ready to sleep for the night, you will have a good and restful sleep because you have not stepped on anyone. And for me, that’s what’s most important… [When] you wake up, before you sleep, always give time to God to thank Him for all the blessings that come our way. To always thank God will go a long way for us. After all, everything we have around us is only material and all of this will be taken away in the end. Only the spiritual cannot be taken away from us.
Anjo Pertierra: Let’s always be optimistic so I go for the second option. Every day is a brand new day. Every day is a blessing. It’s a new beginning. It’s like we have a restart each morning we wake up. Right there and then, I always give thanks… because I am given another chance to right my wrongs, to do good to the people I may have done wrong to, to be a better person, to learn more, to experience more. To live a righteous life.
Prince Clemente: It’s not every day that we have a good day. There are days we feel down, we feel depressed but even in those days, I always thank God I woke up to a new day. I am complete. I have no sickness. I am healthy. When I am tired, I have a bed. When I am hungry, I have food to eat. Even with these simple things, I am ever so grateful to God for the life He has given me. At times, it may not be perfect but that is the beauty in life. We may have struggles but that is part of life, so we grow. I always give thanks to God because I know there are people who have so much less in life.
