Miriam Quiambao has tested negative for COVID-19 after being infected with the Omicron variant of the coronavirus earlier this month.

The Binibining Pilipinas Universe 1999 titleholder announced the good news by showing herself holding a negative COVID-19 test on her Instagram page last Thursday, Jan. 20.

“Sa wakas! Nakalaya na ako (At last! I’m free)!” she said. “Oh, it [feels so] good to be negative! Thank you to all [who] prayed for us! Thank you Lord for healing us!”

Quiambao’s husband, Christian author Ardy Roberto, also appeared to have tested negative for the virus as she also showed another COVID-19 test bearing his initials.

Quiambao completed 14 days of quarantine and has since been enjoying walks near her home with her baby boy, Ziki, she told fans on her Instagram page yesterday, Jan. 21.

“First time to walk around the village after [14] days of being on quarantine due to the Omicron virus infection. During those times I was only able to take in fresh air and bring Baby Ziki outside via our small bedroom balcony,” she recalled. “That’s definitely better than being cooped up inside the room all day.”

Quiambao thanked God for helping her recover from her COVID-19 battle. She also expressed appreciation for the time that she and her son get to spend outdoors.

“As soon as we catch sight of the pale overcast sky and feel the breeze in my hair, I feel immediately invigorated and reenergized. I can only express gratefulness to my Creator, my Healer and Restorer,” she said. “I thank the Lord for restoring my health and for the ability to enjoy nature for free. And with Ziki letting out another exhilarated sigh, [I’m] sure he feels the same way.”

Roberto revealed last Jan. 11 that Quiambao contracted the coronavirus after initially getting a negative result in a COVID-19 antigen test.

Quiambao’s fellow celebrity moms have also opened up about their own COVID-19 battles, including Iya Villania, Sitti and Joyce Pring, among others.  /ra
