Casa de Gray: A place to call Catriona’s own

For the past 10 years, Catriona Gray had led a “nomadic” lifestyle, traveling and living in one country after another to fulfill her duties as a beauty queen, model and ambassador for various charities and advocacies.

Now, she finally has a place she can call her own. “I have been traveling a lot and living like a nomad these past couple of years, so it has always been a dream of mine to come back to a place that’s mine. It has been my dream since I started living independently at 17,” she told the Inquirer.

But as a breadwinner, she had to put that goal on the back burner to prioritize her family. True enough, when she started earning and saving enough money, she bought a house for her parents first. “I put them first because that’s how I have learned to love. I love them and want to provide for them. My love language is acts of service,” said the 27-year-old celebrity, who won the Miss Universe pageant in 2018.

That’s why it’s “exciting,” Catriona said, that she’s now in a place where she can treat herself. “I finally found time for myself, so that’s exciting. I’m starting to have work done on it,” she said of her new condominium unit, which she fondly called “Casa de Gray.”

She also vowed to “support local” and use furniture by Filipino craftsmen. “I hope to move in 2022,” she added. “This really means a lot to me. It’s a personal milestone.” INQ
