How do you plan to celebrate the Christmas season to make it more meaningful despite the pandemic?

“I have been living alone since I was 18 years old. I’m 37 now. This also means that I’ve always spent Christmas by myself. I would often spend the holidays with different people. Most of the time I’m with the family of my sister (actress Assunta de Rossi), but there were years when they would fly to the province. I’m used to getting invited to join the families of my friends, too.
“For me, everyday is Christmas Day, so this coming Noche Buena is going to be a regular day. I will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ even on my own. So if you ask me if I have any plans or any menu to make for that day, my answer is that I still don’t have any. One thing is for sure, I will do video call with my family in Italy.”

“Since my son and I are traveling to the United States this December, we plan to spend Christmas there quietly, over dinner. If the situation permits us, I plan to go to church to celebrate the birthday of Christ.
“I want to pray for the healing of the world, most especially those inflicted with the virus. I also want to pray for the forgiveness of our sins, and thank the Lord for blessings despite the pandemic.”

“Christmas can be meaningful even if we’re still in this crisis. In fact, it can even be more meaningful during these times if we spend it wholeheartedly with our loved ones, with a more valued time, treating each moment as if it could be our last.
