Sampaguita movies now in National Archives

The entire movie collection of Sampaguita Pictures has been turned over to the National Film Archives of the Philippines (NFAP). Over 200 titles, dating from the first Golden Age of Philippine cinema in the 1950s, have been deposited at the NFAP, according to Briccio Santos, chair of the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Sampaguita is one of the country’s “Big Four” studios—along with LVN, Premiere and Lebran. Bayani San Diego Jr.
