To the young, their friends are their entire world. With them, they have rollicking fun and adventures, silly secrets and endless laughter, petty fights and jealousies, as well. But when they have love problems that they feel their world has come crashing down on them, who do they run to for advice? Isn’t is their closest friend of the opposite sex so that they can be given advice from a different perspective? Seeking solace and comfort in that friend makes them develop a close and tight bond between them based on trust and loyalty. Is it possible that the care and concern they feel and draw from each other develop into a deeper kind of love? Meaning, romantic love? Maybe yes. Maybe no.
To find out, watch the 10th episode of “Regal Studio Presents” entitled “Magkaibigan, Nagkaibigan” which will be on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 4:35 pm on GMA Network.
This romantic-comedy-themed episode will also be a showcase of some of the best young and upcoming talent of GMA Network and Regal Entertainment, Inc. all in one episode with Lexi Gonzales, Kim De Leon and Anjay Anson serving as the lead cast here.
Now, I was able to ask a couple of questions to Lexi Gonzales, Kim De Leon and Anjay Anson.
Here are their answers to my questions:
There are five languages of love: A. Acts of service. B. Gift-giving. C. Physical touch. D. Quality-time. E. Words of affirmation. Which of the five will move you to fall in love with a person?
Lexi Gonzales: Acts of service. I mean, that is how I see the effort and how the person loves me. For me, how can they prove if they love me? Show effort! Because there is a saying, “If you want something, there is a way. But if you don’t want that, there are a lot of excuses.” So, if they really love you and want to be there for you, they will make an effort. They will do the acts of service for you.
Kim De Leon: Gift-giving? Ah, not that… do I really want material things? Ah, quality time. I choose that because that is where I am lacking. That is what I think of myself. And maybe, when I learn how to effectively manage my time. Maybe, that would be a plus for me.
Anjay Anson: I guess, for me, it is physical touch. Because that is how you will feel more the person. When you can get to hold them. Stuff like that. That is the language of love.
It is said, for love, “We will climb the highest mountain, we will swim the deepest sea.” But, what will you never do, for love?
Lexi Gonzales: Oooh, my gawd! I’m just scared of the question. But, uhm, well, I will never give up my self-love, my self-worth for love. I will always know my value. I will not go to the extent that I will forget myself or put the person I love first, before me. Because how will I give you love, if I do not love myself? So, I will never give up my self-love, my self-worth for someone I love.
Kim De Leon: Oh, my God! What the heck! That’s a tough question, sir Joseph. Because I would do anything for love! Even for my family, even for a loved one. What will I not do? Something I won’t do? Maybe, to not love? Is that qualified? To not love, but to love? Because that is the best or common thing that would enter my mind. Because? that is something you won’t be able to do, to not love. If you really love the person?
Anjay Anson: Family first, maybe. Family first before others. Because for me, uhm, it is because she will eventually become a part of your family, so, in that sense, I will prioritize my family. And, “blood is thicker than water,” isn’t it?
