Barbie Forteza, Sarah Edwards, Julian Roxas, Royce Cabrera and VJ Mendoza star in the seventh episode of GMA’s “Regal Studio Presents” titled “My Birthday Wish!”

The multi-genre stand-alone episodes that air every 4:35 p.m. and every Sunday on GMA Network is proving to be a fresh, entertaining and innovative way of storytelling. It has been a rating success with “GMA Regal Studio Presents” featuring the combined deep talent rosters of Regal’s “Regal Babies” and GMA Network’s artists.

The coming seventh episode on Sunday, Oct. 24, called “My Birthday Wish!” will have popular GMA artist Barbie Forteza as its lead star.

Yesterday afternoon, I was able to conduct an exclusive interview with this young, bubbly and established actress of GMA Network. My questions revolved around the theme of the particular episode “My Birthday Wish!”

At your age now, when you look back into your past, what is it that you wish did not have to happen? In your personal life and professional life?

Even airports, di ba! The economy! Lahat naepektuhan. So, siguro yan. Ang pandemic na eto. Sana hindi nangyari.

(I wish the pandemic did not happen for everyone. Because I was not the only one affected, everyone was. All of humankind. All the industries. All the jobs. Even airports, weren’t they? The economy. Everything was affected. So that would probably be it, this pandemic, I wish this shouldn’t have happened.)

Jumping forward, when you yourself become 50 years old, what would you want to be your greatest achievement, in your personal life and professional life?

Barbie Forteza: Siguro, by the time I am 50? And even myself. And, sana settled down. Quiet na lang. Quiet life with my own family. Sana yun. Para sa akin ‘yan ang greatest achievement. ‘Yung maging sobrang successful mo na kaya mo na mag-lay low from work.

(When maybe I’m 50? I hope I have put my family in a better place. That I have provided a better home for them. That I did not give them any problem. That as best I could, I took care of their health. And of mine. To win so many international awards by then. And already settled down. To be so successful that I can already lie low from work.)

When you celebrate your birthday, does your birthday wish change every year or do you have a wish that’s constant each year?

Barbie Forteza: Oo, eh! Tapos yung isa pabago-bago siya every year. And then, siguro yung pabago-bago na wish? What I want to achieve that year? Sana matuto na ako mag-drive.

(Yes. Because usually I have two wishes. One is a wish I’ve had since forever, and the other changes every year. The wish that never changes is good health for my family. I may wish for additional things but that wish never goes away. And then, perhaps, for my wish that changes? What I want to achieve [for] that year. I hope I can already learn how to drive.)
