Ruffa Gutierrez and Mariel Rodriguez will be leaving for the United States to attend TV5’s grand launch overseas. Guest cohosts will be pinch-hitting for them in “Paparazzi.”
Last Saturday, Mariel told me that BB Gandanghari wants to substitute for her in the show while she’s away. So Mariel teased Zoren, “OK lang ba sa ’yo to work with BB?”
Zoren was dumbfounded. From the look on his face, I think it’s unthinkable for him to be seated next to BB (formerly Rustom Padilla, ex of Zoren’s wife Carmina) even just for the sake of the show. Even if Zoren is professional enough, the BB issue is something too personal for public consumption.
Undecided but interested
Tita Annabelle Rama is still undecided whether she will give in to the clamor of her kababayans in Cebu to run in the next elections. “Gusto raw kasi nila ng pagbabago. Tama na raw ang political dynasty dun,” she said.
Will she give up managing talents if and when she enters politics and wins? “Tuloy pa rin ang pag-ma-manage ko,” she said. “Time management lang naman ’yan. Kung paano ko protektahan at ipaglaban ang mga talents ko, ganun din gagawin ko sa mga Cebuano.” I can just imagine what a riot Tita A’s campaign sorties will be.
Claudine’s apology
Was Claudine Barretto sincere in her apology to the Cebu Pacific staff, or was it just a desperate measure for damage control? In any case, the airline should also apologize for its shortcomings.
As for Claudine and Raymart’s offer for a reward to whoever can present a video of what transpired in Naia prior to their assaulting Mon Tulfo, it’s quite ridiculous. Knowing the Filipinos’ penchant for picture-taking and video-recording, that video would have surfaced on YouTube by now.
Perhaps nothing earthshaking took place before their assault, that’s why nobody bothered to document it.
The Tulfo brothers have been very vocal about their support for Mon. Will the Barretto sisters do the same for Claudine?
No headaches
John Lloyd Cruz is thankful for the trust that Unilab—the company behind popular brands of headache and fever relievers—has given him all these years. Lloydie recently renewed his contract as Biogesic’s endorser for the sixth year.
“Unilab started my career as an endorser and I am very grateful that its team really believes in me. I am excited to do the new ad campaign of the Biogesic brand,” he said.
Being in tip-top condition is his priority. “It’s hard to get sick. I cannot afford to skip work because a lot of people depend on me,” he pointed out. “We should not underestimate the value of taking care of ourselves. I am in an industry where work is demanding. So I have to manage fatigue and stress effectively.”
Lloydie may have had some heartaches after his failed romance with Shaina Magdayao, but he will always be headache-free because of his fave med.
