Lea Salonga is set to return to the Tony Awards stage, this time as a celebrity presenter in the awards show’s 74th edition.
The Tony Awards will be held in New York, United States tomorrow, Sept. 27 (Sept. 26, U.S. Time).
The actress-singer told fans about the good news by showing a Broadway release on her Twitter page last Friday, Sept. 24.
“The cat’s out of the bag! I’ll be presenting at [the] Tony Awards on Sunday!” Salonga said.

Meanwhile, the American Theatre Wing which sponsors the Tony Awards confirmed that Salonga will be presenting through its official Twitter page, also last Friday.
“The stars! The glamour! The performances! Even more names plus top musical moments are announced for Sunday’s Tony Awards,” the theater organization stated. It also showed photos of Salonga and American singer John Legend.
Legend will be performing for the awards show.

Other stars are set to present at the 74th Tony Awards, among them are Andrew Garfield, Darren Criss, Beanie Feldstein and Anika Noni Rose.
Salonga previously presented at the Tony Awards in 2017 during a performance of “Miss Saigon,” which was nominated for best revival.
She received the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical back in 1991 for her role as Kim in the stage musical “Miss Saigon,” making her the first Asian actress to win a Tony. JB
