MANILA, Philippines—Caracal. Or Persian Lynx. That’s the name of the sleek feline lounging next to Chris Tiu in GMA 7’s “Halo-Halo ang Summer Saya” omnibus TV commercial that premiered Sunday on the noontime show, “Party Pilipinas.”
The commercial, which also debuts in SM Cinemas on April 13, highlights coming Kapuso attractions. Chris’ is the program “Man vs Beast.”
Marvin Agustin, a real-life restaurateur, displayed his own bar-tending tricks for the segment on “Kitchen Superstar,” which he will host.
And the song for the ad? Francis M’s son, Elmo, a mainstay on “Party Pilipinas,” wrote the rap verses!
The commercial was conceptualized by the creative team of GMA’s Program Support Department (VP Regie Bautista, associate creative director Dino Garcia, copywriter Sudoy Patena, art director Hendrick Gonzales, and senior project manager Hasmin Marable) and produced by a team composed of multi-awarded cinematographer Ding Achacoso as director of photography, Paul Ticzon as director, Vince Gealogo as co-director, Ingrid Navarro as producer and cameramen Erwin Tolentino, Ricky Paras, Paolo Visda, Javier Delgado and Paul Arrojado.
