Ni-Ki of the K-pop boy group ENHYPEN has become its sixth member to contract COVID-19, following five other members who tested positive for the coronavirus last week.

The boy group’s label Belift Lab announced Ni-Ki was COVID-19 positive through a statement, Soompi reported today, Sept. 5

“He began showing symptoms of coughing on Friday, [Sept.] 3, and on the following day was diagnosed as positive for COVID-19,” the label added.

Ni-Ki is showing mild symptoms but will be relocated to a treatment facility, in compliance with local health directives.

Belift told the boy group’s fans that they will ensure all of ENHYPEN’s members will recover from the disease. It vowed to continue cooperating with local government and health authorities.

The label announced last Friday, Sept. 2, that ENHYPEN members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake and Sunghoon tested positive for COVID-19, as per an earlier report by Soompi. Sunoo is the only member of the boy group to remain negative for COVID-19.

The company will be providing “full support for the rapid recovery of the members.” It also apologized to fans for being “unable to prevent” the infections despite their on-site precautions. Dana Cruz/JB
