35 MJ short films on DVD

/ 06:31 PM June 26, 2011

It was the second death anniversary of Michael Jackson last Saturday, June 25. But for MJ diehards like me, he’s more alive than ever because of his timeless music legacy that grows stronger every passing year.

To commemorate the King of Pop’s second birthday in heaven, I urge you all to get a copy of his two-DVD set, “Vision” (Sony Music). It’s a must-have for every MJ fanatic or any music lover for that matter.

The collector’s item contains 35 groundbreaking short films of MJ—fully restored and remastered, plus a bonus DVD with seven additional videos including the previously unreleased “One More Chance.” It comes with a booklet full of classic shots of MJ in a sleek pack with a mind-blowing cover.

Thank you, MJ, for staying in our lives. You occupy an entire ventricle in my heart. I love you with all of me.

FEATURED STORIES

Sultan Bong

Bong Revilla and his wife Lani Mercado are more than proud to have been chosen by the Muslims to be part of their community. Bong was enthroned as Sultan Aadi (Prince of Justice) by Sultan Pax Mangudadatu of Sultan Kudarat, assisted by Lani as Bai Labi (highest among Muslim Princesses).

“They love Bong because he was one of the seven senators who wanted ARMM elections to push through,” says Lani. “Bong has been close to Muslim Mindanao since we started in show biz and also because of Daddy (Ramon Revilla Sr.) who did the movie ‘Kamlon.’”
They are not required to convert to Islam, though, so Lani can remain secure in the thought that she will forever be Bong’s one and only wife.
“That’s the first thing I asked Bong,” Lani quips. “Now that he’s a Sultan, does it mean Muslim na siya and he can have many wives? Iba pala yun. What a relief (laughs)!”

I can almost see Bong’s chinky eyes smiling at Lani to assure her that after 25 years of marriage, she is (not just a Muslim Princess but) his Queen for life.

‘Battle of the Ex-es’
I immensely enjoyed my guesting stint on TV5’s “Face to Face” (“Battle of the Ex-es” episode which airs Monday at 10:30 a.m.). I was the celebrity “Sawsawera” and my ex Joey Marquez was the Celebrity “Sawsawero.”
Joey and I had fun reminiscing the good old crazy days. He’s one ex I will never EXclude from my life because he remained to be a gentleman till the end of our romance.

The host of “Face to Face,” Amy Perez (my MJ twin), and I swapped MJ stories while her cute son Kyle was doing the moonwalk. It was quite an experience to witness the squabbling of the estranged couple and the “other woman” and so heartwarming to listen to the words of wisdom of the “Trio Tagapayo.” It made me realize that in the “Battle of the Ex-es,” it’s best not to give in or give up but give way.
