Melissa Ricks congratulates Ara Mina on marriage: ‘You deserve all the happiness’

Melissa Ricks had nothing but kind words for her friend and “ate,” Ara Mina, as the latter finally tied the knot with Dave Almarinez last Wednesday, June 30.
“Always the happiest for my friends. I remember how we used to talk about kailan kaya natin mamemeet prince charming natin.. or if we will ever meet him?” Ricks said in a sweet open letter posted on Instagram earlier today, July 2.
(I remember how we used to talk about when we are going to finally meet our Prince Charming, or if we will ever meet him.)
“Haaay, [I] remember us singing ‘someday, [someone’s] gonna love me’ in the car, pareho tayong lost, but knowing [pareho] pinag dadaanan natin somehow made it easier and we got through it!”
(Hay, I remember us singing “someday, someone’s gonna love me” in the car, we were both lost, but knowing that we were going through the same thing somehow made it easier and we got through it!)

“I just think that its amazing that 5 years after, here we are!! I love you ate! Through our heart aches, heart breaks and happily ever afters, it was all worth it, and worth the wait, I keep saying, What is asked in prayer is truly given, thank you for including me in your prayers and you have always been in mine,” Ricks said.
Ara Mina got married in Baguio City, just around a month after Ricks tied the knot with her non-showbiz partner, Michael Macatangay, in the United States.
“You deserve all the happiness, all the blessings, a beautiful wedding, a gown fit for a queen and most of all [an] amazing husband,” the loving friend told Ara Mina.
“[Always] here for you love you for everything that you are ate, congratulations @therealaramina and @davealmarinez,” she added.
Ricks then told Almarinez to take care of his new wife and thanked him for “making her the happiest.”

Almarinez is the president and chief executive officer of the government-run Philippine International Trading Corp., with the rank of undersecretary.
Ara Mina and Almarinez got engaged only last January, something the actress described as “the most perfect gift from God.” /ra
