Taylor Swift tops Twitter trending list in run-up to Nov. release of re-recorded ‘Red’

Multiple hashtags associated with American singer Taylor Swift topped Twitter’s trending list today, with #redtaylorsversion peaking at No. 1.

Swift had earlier announced that the next re-recorded album to be released is her 2012 chart-topping album “Red.”

This follows her recent re-recorded release “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” back in April, in line with the singer’s six-album endeavor to re-record all her albums in the past.

“This will be the first time you hear all the 30 songs that were meant to go on Red,” Swift wrote in a note to her fans. “And hey, one of them is even 10 minutes long.”

With the announcement, Swift ended fans’ earlier speculations that the next re-recorded album Swift would be releasing is her 2014 blockbuster “1989.”

Nevertheless, fans took to social media to celebrate the upcoming release of “Red (Taylor’s Version)” this coming Nov. 19.

In 2019, Swift announced plans to re-record her first six studio albums after Scooter Braun acquired her master recordings. She began re-recording her albums in November last year–one month before releasing her latest studio album “Evermore.”  /ra
