Alwyn Uytingco admitted that despite his separation from his wife, actress Jennica Garcia, he is still hoping to bring his family back together.
The actor expressed hope of being with Garcia and their children in the wake of their split through his Instagram page today, June 16. He showed a family photo with Garcia where they can be seen smiling as they held on to their kids.
“Araw-araw, ito ang magiging dasal ko. Ito ang kakapitan ko. Ito ang papangarapin ko. Ito ang aasahan ko. Na balang araw, maging maayos na ang lahat,” Uytingco said. (Every day, I will pray for this. I will hold on to this. I will dream of this. I will hope for this. That someday, everything will be alright.)
While not going into specifics, the actor acknowledged that what he and Garcia are going through is not easy, but he wishes to get past it.
“[Mas] pipiliin kong tawirin ang tulay na ‘to, kahit ikamatay ko, susubukin ko dahil alam ko na ikaw (at mga anak natin) ang sasalubong sa ’kin sa dulo,” he added. (I will choose to cross this bridge, even if I die doing so. I will try because I know that you and our children will be there for me in the end.)
Uytingco recently stated that what he feels about his breakup with Garcia cannot be expressed in “simple words” and reminded his wife that he still loves her. The declaration may have been addressed by Uytingco’s mother-in-law Jean Garcia, as she said that it is time to “say goodbye” despite being in love.
After months of speculation, Jennica confirmed last month that she and Uytingco have split up. She has since moved to a new home with her children but clarified that her breakup with Uytingco was not caused by money.
Jennica and Uytingco got married in 2014, after four years of being a couple. They have two daughters together, Athena and Severina. JB
