Kapuso actors Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera received their first doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in Taguig, as the city started jabbing the A4 priority group.

“Sinovaxed!” Dantes said as he showed photos of him and wife Rivera getting their COVID-19 shots via his Instagram page yesterday, June 12. They can also be seen in a hug as they showed off their bandages.

“Sa linya ng aming trabaho, madalas ay kailangan magshoot sa labas. Kapag sasabak na sa eksena, mask-off. Kailangan naming tanggalin ang aming first line of defense sa COVID-19,” he noted.

(In our line of work, we often need to shoot outside. When we start shooting a scene, mask-off. We need to remove our first line of defense against COVID-19.)

Dantes admitted that he was nervous to get his vaccine, but “through research and consultation with experts,” he had the courage to get vaccinated.

“This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community,” he added.

Fellow celebrities have also recently received their COVID-19 vaccines, including Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Kris Aquino, and Aga Muhlach.

Taguig has opened registrations for the A4 priority group, which covers essentials workers in government agencies, the media, delivery services and the informal sector. The city will also continue to prioritize vaccinations for health workers, senior citizens and people with comorbidities. JB
