Darren Espanto has released his new upbeat track “Tama Na” on Friday, May 28, leading to his upcoming digital concert next month.
Espanto can be heard singing about unrequited love and finding one’s self-worth in the song’s lyric video, through his YouTube channel, also on Friday. The song was released under MCA Music of the multinational Universal Music Group.
“Ayokong masaktan ulit / Ayoko nang lumuha pa’t maging biktima,” he sings as he blended his roots in pop music with R&B.
Espanto also posed for some behind-the-scenes photos for the song, as seen on MCA Music’s Instagram page on the same day.
“Itigil na lang natin baby. ‘Tama Na’ by Darren is out on all digital streaming platforms!” the label said, showing Espanto in a gray shirt and black tuxedo.
“Tama Na” is one of the songs off Espanto’s upcoming album and is currently available on several music platforms. It is also expected to be sung by the “The Voice Kids” alum in his upcoming digital concert on June 19.
The concert was pushed back from its original May 30 slot because of the singer’s recent exposure to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.
