Dimples Romana receives Gold Standard badge from NYU

Actress and entrepreneur Dimples Romana has received the Gold Standard badge from New York University (NYU) for her impressive academic performance.
“Gusto ko na lang maiyak (I just want to cry) [emoji] got this SURPRISE on my email from @nyuniversity where I’ve been taking courses to further my knowledge needed for our new businesses and endeavors as a family,” Romana said in an Instagram on May 18, which aptly came with a photo of the said badge.
“Here’s the highly coveted @nyuniversity School of Professional Studies GOLD STANDARD badge for my course taken under Professor [Marc Somnolet],” the award-winning actress added.
Romana completed the career advancement course Strategic Planning for Marketers earlier this year.

“[Apparently], this badge is awarded to you when you have A for grade [crying emoji] you are even encouraged to put this badge on your LinkedIn account to let people know that you have finished courses with this badge and they’ll know your expertise,” Romana explained.
Romana also dedicated her milestone to her husband, Romeo “Boyet” Ahmee Jr., and their children, Callie and Alonzo, as seen just below the virtual badge in the photo. Romana said NYU provides recipients the option to dedicate the coveted badge to others.
“[The] opportunity alone of being in that course was already a huge blessing, learning from the experts, meeting amazing people, super icing on the cake this recognition!” the actress stressed.
“Salamat po @nyuniversity SPS [purple heart emoji] Nakakasipag at nakakatunaw puso (Thank you NYU. This motivates me to work harder as it also melts my heart),” Romana added.
Romana also admitted that she has been “super sentimental lately” as her daughter Callie also just recently graduated from high school with flying colors.
“[I], as her mom, just wanted to be able to make her proud just as well,” she emphasized.
Romana and her husband in April established their first-ever overseas restaurant in Singapore called Alegria Singapura. Callie, meanwhile, also has a business of her own that was established by utilizing the skills of local artisans. /ra
