Sharon Cuneta temporarily bid her family goodbye as she flew to the United States alone to take some time off.
“I’m going home. Of course my real home, where my heart is, is where my husband and children are. But tonight I am flying home to my Mommy’s Gramps’ country, where only my eldest and I are legal residents,” the Megastar shared on Instagram yesterday, May 11.
“I need to breathe, collect myself, gain strength. Love you all and will miss you guys,” the “Your Face Sounds Familiar” judge stressed.
The post came with several photos including that of her passport and another of herself donning a face mask and shield while waiting at the airport.
In her following post, Cuneta shared snaps of her emotional farewell to her husband, Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, and their children.
“Praying and saying bye to my family,” she simply said of the photos, where she and her loved ones can be seen hugging each other and holding hands in prayer.
Cuneta safely arrived in Los Angeles before noon today, May 12, as seen in her latest Instagram post that shows her with her best friend in the city as they make their way to eat dinner.
“Home in L.A. with one of my lifelong best friends on the planet, Lorraine!” Cuneta said.
This is not the first time Cuneta went to the US to take some time off. In 2017, Cuneta also flew alone to get away from the “pain and fatigue” she was experiencing back then. /ra
