“Voltes V: Legacy” director Mark Reyes announced that production for the highly anticipated live-action series is going to start “soon.”
“Production will start soon,” Reyes said as he showed a photo of himself standing in front of what appears to be a large fortress on his Instagram page yesterday, May 3. He revealed that he was actually on the set for Voltes V’s base Camp Big Falcon.
“A lot have been asking me for an update regarding Voltes V. So here’s an official sneak peek from the set of Camp Big Falcon,” he added.
“Voltes V: Legacy” will star young actors Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega Radson Flores, Matt Lozano and Raphael Landicho. They will respectively be playing the roles of Steve Armstrong, Jamie Robinson, Mark Gordon, Big Bert Armstrong and Little Jon Armstrong.
Its teaser in January showed a glimpse of the Boazanians’ invasion of Earth and the visual effects that fans can look forward to in the series.
The Japanese anime “Voltes V,” upon which “Voltes V: Legacy” is based, tells the story of a group of heroes taking on enemies from faraway planets. It was produced by Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise in the 1970s. Its subsequent showing in Philippine television was hugely popular and created a strong following. JB
