MANILA, Philippines—A day before she performs as one of the three final contenders of American Idol on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila), 16-year-old pop diva Jessica Sanchez said she’s unwell.
“Drinking tea. Throat isn’t feeling at its best. :/,” Sanchez said in her official Twitter account.
Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Philip Philips will vie for the Top 2 ahead of the talent show’s finale on May 23 where the new American Idol will be crowned.
Singer and Tony Award-winning actress Jennifer-Yvette Holliday prayed for her recovery.
“Dear God, We Lift Up2U Our Sweet JESSICA @JSanchezAI11 We Ask U 2HEAL Whatever is making her sick! O Lord, Please CALM Her Mind & Let Her REST in U:),” tweeted Holliday.
