“Mommy Issues” will follow the time-honored tradition of Regal Entertainment, Inc. releasing Mother’s Day-themed movies that are sure to warm the heart, make you laugh and inspire all to cherish our mothers more.
Dealing with serious family issues in a light-hearted and entertaining manner is what I can glean from the official trailer of “Mommy Issues.” On top of that, you can be sure of guaranteed hilarity with the presence of main star Pokwang. I certainly consider her an established top-caliber comedienne, always quick on the draw with her sharp wit.
You also have the younger stars like Sue Ramirez and Jerome Ponce who are becoming already recognized in showbiz for being such capable actors. Both have shown outstanding performances in the past. It will be interesting to see if they can veer away convincingly from dramatic and serious roles to a lighter, off-beat and humorous movie genre in “Mommy Issues.”
Known comedian, TV personality and actor Ryan Bang rounds up the roster of “Mommy Issues.”
I am very curious to see what the dynamics of the onscreen characters will be and how they as individual actors will bounce off of each other’s acting abilities, being that the younger set, more known for their dramatic roles, will be pitted against the veteran Pokwang.
“Mommy Issues” is written and directed by multi-awarded veteran director Jose Javier Reyes. This Mother’s Day special is what viewers particularly need at this particular time. Expect it to be a happy respite offered to all by Regal Entertainment, Inc.
I cannot think of a much better time to watch a warm-hearted comedy with subtle moral lessons than now, in the safety and comfort of our own homes.
“Mommy Issues” also stars Gloria Diaz and Kyle Velino, and introduces Chanel Morales. It is streaming on May 7, 2021, on Upstream.ph, KTX. ph, and iWantTFC at TFC IPTV.
