MANILA, Philippines—Entertainment celebrity couples Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago arrived at a court in Quezon City Wednesday to attend a hearing as they seek for a special protection order (SPO) from the Tulfo brothers who openly allegedly threatened them in “T3: Kapatid Sagot Kita”, their late-afternoon public-affairs show on TV5, following the airport brawl.

Accompanied by their lawyer, Attorney Alex Avisado, the Santiagos arrived at Branch 219 of the Regional Trial Court of Quezon City around 3 p.m. to hear a writ of amparo they filed against “T3” hosts Raffy, Ben and Erwin Tulfo who allegedly threatened them on air in its May 7 show.

Earlier reports said the petition was filed four days after the controversial remarks were made by the brothers in reaction to the brawl between radio broadcaster and Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Ramon Tulfo and the Santiagos along with other persons at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

In a civil complaint, the Santiagos are asking for the SPO that will prevent the Tulfos from coming 500 meters near them.

They also sought for police escorts for an added security.

While the Tulfo siblings immediately issued an apology for their utterances against the Santiagos, TV5 placed Raffy, Ben and Erwin under a three-day suspension.

This was aside from the 20-day suspension meted out by the Movie and Television Ratings and Classification Board.
