Sunshine Cruz confirmed that she tested positive for COVID-19 and is still in self-isolation after recently hinting that she has symptoms of the disease.

The actress was exposed to the virus and tested positive for it on March 27, as she stated in a Facebook post yesterday, April 14. She also opened up about her initial self-denial after getting her test results.

“It took a while for reality to sink in,” she revealed. “I thought I would be asymptomatic and would probably just isolate myself for 14 days to make sure that the people at home will be safe as well.”

Cruz has been self-isolating for 20 days and is taking different kinds of medicine. She is not yet allowed to go out of her room because she is still experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

She will be taking a swab test today, April 15, and looking forward to getting good results.

“I am hoping, praying for a negative result. I am positive that I will test negative! Claiming it!” she said, reminding her fans to stay safe amid the pandemic.

Cruz revealed over the weekend that she is in self-isolation at home and is experiencing some symptoms of COVID-19. She said that the symptoms she had like body aches, coughs and fever were unlike what she experienced before. JB
