The actress-politician revealed her family’s condition as she asked the public for prayers via Facebook on April 8. They are confined at the San Pablo District Hospital.

“Humihingi po ako ng paumanhin… 14 days muna di ko masasagot mga [text] or call (I apologize… I will not be answering texts or calls for 14 days),” said Jones, a board member of the 3rd District of Laguna.

(My home is closed for now. I am asking for your prayers for my mother, Mama Beth, to survive as she has been in the ICU [intubated] for three days now. My son and I are still fighting and praying that we recover from this.)

In a follow-up post made on April 10, Jones disclosed that her mother has also been battling pneumonia while she herself also contracted pneumonia and dealing with asthma, aside from COVID-19.
