If you have yet to watch “Power Broker,” the third episode of Marvel’s critically acclaimed six-part series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” (92 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes), you’ll be pleased to hear Filipino singer-rapper Shanti Dope’s “Amatz,” written by Lester Vaño and Sean Patrick Ramos aka Shanti Dope, blaring in the background during a party scene.
Aside from Shanti Dope’s music, the episode is made more significant by the welcome appearances of Emily VanCamp (as Sharon Carter aka Agent 13) and Daniel Bruhl (as Zemo) while Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) try to stop the Flag Smashers without the help of the new Captain America/John Walker (Wyatt Russell).
Rocco a third wheel in ‘Owe My Love’s’ romantic angle
Rocco Nacino began portraying a special role in GMA Network’s romantic-comedy series, “Owe My Love,” last Monday. In the series top billed by Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves, Rocco plays Dr. Kenneth Paul, who is set to cause a stir in the lives of Sensen Guipit (Lovi) and Dr. Migs Alcancia (Ben).
After finally admitting their feelings for each other, it seems Sensen and Migs are ready to take their relationship to the next level. But to Sensen’s surprise, Migs withdraws. His parents’ falling-out and his mother’s infidelity have given him a fear of commitment, and is making him doubt the possibility of any serious romantic relationship.
Just as Sensen is starting to accept Migs’ decision, she reconnects with Dr. Kenneth, who returns to Brgy. Petsa de Peligro as a full-fledged cardiothoracic surgeon hired by Centimos Medical Hospital. Will this further complicate Sensen and Migs’ situation?
Catch Rocco in “Owe My Love,” weeknights at 9:35 p.m., on GMA. Viewers abroad can also watch the series via GMA’s flagship international channel, GMA Pinoy TV. Visit www.gmapinoytv.com.
