LOOK: Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo get married after 10 days of planning wedding
Longtime partners Lovely Abella and Benj Manalo are now a happily married couple after tying the knot yesterday, Jan. 23 in Quezon City.
Although their wedding was a long time coming — the actors have been a couple since 2015 — their big day was planned in a flash.
The “Ang Probinsyano” actor proposed to Abella for a second time on New Year’s Day, and at the time, proposed also to her 12-year-old daughter Crisha. Manalo too has a son from a previous relationship.
Their wedding organizer, Maxine Covar Events, revealed on Instagram that they only had 10 days to make the ceremony come together. Even with the time pressure, the couple got their dream wedding, held at Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant.

The “Bubble Gang” star stunned in a Steph Tan wedding dress, which was made in just two days and is a gift from Kathryn Bernardo, whom Abella starred with in “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

Manalo first proposed to Abella in June 2019 by surprising her during what she thought was a music video shoot. Manalo asked her to have a cameo appearance in the video, but it turned out to be a proposal in front of loved ones.
“I wanted us to be engaged before moving into our new home,” he told Inquirer in April last year. “I wanted to give her the security that I’m here to stay.” JB
